We went through 130 presentations last week, all of which are available through the "Drop Down For Students' Pages" tab. Boy was it fun to see the amazing things that these kiddos put together. If my colleagues, customers, and friends at the gym aren't tired of me bragging about these kids by now, I can't wait to see what it's going to look like after the 27th.
Speaking of the 27th. We're just a week away, and all of the finalists have been selected. The link above will give you more information about the triple sessions we're going to host at MJHS starting at 5 o'clock.
Here are some impressive statistics that I've gathered through the project:
There were 8 fan pages
13 investigations
28 fundraisers
and 35 documentaries.
Without much guidance, the combined funds raised was $4,362
They wrote 1,307 blogs with over 348 comments
and 53,999 views.
Now for some of the more entertaining statistics:
95% of the students felt that they learned something "valuable" from the project
and the most common answer when asked, "what was the hardest part of the project" most students responded with:
the Google document
blogging
and everything.
When asked, "what was the easiest part of the project," my favorite answers were:
picking my username
blogging
and nothing.
When asked, "how will this help you in your future," the most common answers were:
making a website
IDK
and college.
When asked on a scale of 1 to 5, "how stressful was the project" the average answer was 4,
yet when asked if they'd do this project again if they were given a chance 78% of them said, "yes."
Until next week, as my student Ian says, "Stay inspired,"
